How to block countries!

Hi
Just found out a cool way to block countries with help from serverwizards

You can configure an APF fire wall to block country ip ranges from blackholes.us. Seems to be working good so far

Now don't mind me if lots of people use this already but this is the first effective way ive seen to be able to block countries from my free hosting. Just thought id share

I've got APF but i prefer not to block countries, that way i get more visitors!

Hi,

Well Im up to more then 1500 signups a day 1200 of which are denied due to being a forign country I don't want to signup. Saves me alot of time to block the countries outright the first time.

Curious why you refuse service to some countries?

"Danger" countries I suppose

Just like paid hosts will block some countries like Indonesia because the amount of fraud signups to legit ones is just not worth it.

We aren't racist but any Asian country, Russia and a few others will automatically be denied. We do this for a few reasons:
1. We can't provide support for them as they usually don't speak English
2. We cant enforce content on a site if we don't speak there language.
3. Google ads didn't used to display in other languages but seems that issue has been partly fixed.
4. 90% of the Spam and porno account violations we have had are from users located in Asian countries
