Default What is going on over at Syxe?
Syxe free hosting had a recent change of ownership. Ever since the service has been up and down. For the last week customers have been unable to login to their Cpanel site - posts on the syxe forums at www.syxe.com get ignored until recently when someone said that it wasnt their fault and they had no way to contact the owner.

Cpanel remains unavaliable, webmail is unavailable but my site still continues to work (for now).

This business started out great but has gone the way of all free hosts - downwards and evntually out of business.

the forums at syxe.com are now not working (they have been down the past 48 hours with a message saying "There seems to have been a slight problem with the database."

You got that right!

Emails are going unanswered and now customer cant even got on the forum! AT LEAST the websites are still running but for how long.

Whats going on Syxe???

That's usually the case for most free webhosts. Try to go with those who are in the scene for several months at least. I noticed that Syxe.com is quite slow as well. Good luck in retrieving back your data.

"well. apart from briefly one day this year, my site hasnt been online in 2006. nor in the weeks before.
as its the last day of january, i dont see the point of being here. there has been no communication about whats happening.
my above post hasnt been responded to. i have no database and no cpanel access. i can do nothing.

i've been more than patient, just like the other guys, but this is just wasting my time.

please remove my account."

Install phpMyAdmin which you usually use in cPanel anyway. It will work, assuming MySQL is online: http://www.phpmyadmin.net/

this is what happens when you try to offer too much for nothing. Check my sig, I have a reasonable plan that is actually sustainable.
