Since my last post about our free offering we've been growing exponentially, adding new features and improving the overall performance of our hosting environment. Announcements on the site are forthcoming, but for now, I'm posting some updates to the main free hosting-related boards.

Enhancements:

• Newly designed sign-up form - form has been shortened and greatly improved
• More diskspace! - we went from 100 MB to 1.0 GB total file storage
• Improved FTP access - our custom FTP has been improved for increased availability
• Bandwidth monitoring and enforcement - as a legitimate web hosting user, this means a much healthier & reliable hosting environment

Just in case you're not familiar with our free offering:

• No forced ads on user web sites (ads appear on our pages - and
  within special optional add-on features for users in separate windows)
• 1 GB disk storage
• 1 GB per month data transfer
• Domain names supported (free)
• Email account (@freewebtown.com)
• Automated Website PageBuilder with templates and easy point and
  click editing
• Weblog creator, Guestbook, Photo Albums, Personal Desktop, etc...
• FrontPage extensions supported (or FTP or our built-in FileManager)
• Shared Community Storefront, Auction, Online Forums, and Live Chat
