Default Leftover Ad Space
What is a good use of ad space that is normally just public service ads? I am wanting ideas on what other freehosts have done to maximize revenue or value from this sort of ad space.

Any left over ad space, put up some CPA ads from networks like AzoogleAds and AffiliateFuel. Also CJ.com.

Just pick and choose which offers to run ads and keep up with the ad's status from time to time. Adjust it based on what works best.

Also, why not use your own ads? More hits to you! Also, google adsense is also a way to get a little cash from clicks also.

I thought Azoogle and other programs didnt allow "free web hosting" networks.

They accepted us, so it's probably a restriction if your site is "hosted" as free. I think there's still a lot of misconceptions surrounding our industry.

Usually I had to follow up any time we got a rejection from an ad network. Once I explained we didn't post ads on our user sites (ie. control over content was maintained) they rarely ever reject us the second time.

lol... confusing

This forum is about "Running a freewebhosting service", so when he ask: "What is a good use of ad space that is normally just public service ads?" dosent that mean PSA on the sites he is hosting?

2 words...Google Adsense. If you dont like that, I heard that some bigshot internet companies are letting you advertise them for cash. Just email one of thier website supervisers, and I think if your website is popular enough, they will let you advertise them.
