Advertising Definitions
I believe that FWHT needs to have a sticky topic in the Free Hosting with No Ads section that describes what "No Ads" is
People are posting in there with hosts that require a single Text link back to the host. Should this be accepted as Ad Free?
Just my suggestion to you guys anyway
Have Fun!

well i suggest you contact someone related to marketing
could you say "cocacola" on a coke bottle is an advertisement... most people wouldnt. Its purpose is to tell people what the product is.
so therefore is a link on a hosting site an advertisement? thats the same thing. I guess its a matter of principle. However i personally would not consider a link to the root webpage an advertisement. That is a link to an intrinsic product which is also the same product that the site exists on. So wether it could be considered an advertisement could be debated...

I will edit the announcement to include something related to that. Thanks for the input!

Thanks Maxhest
And Gryffin, that's the problem that i see - so to settle the debate, the Community guys can create their own definition as to what they define Advertising and enforce that rule

Hi Jayso,
Yes, I agree with you - that's still an ad!

Well i made this thread as more of a suggestion. The idea was for the Community guys to devise an exact idea of what is considered advertising, and then sticky it to the top of the Free Webhosting With No Ads forum

Yeah... linking back to your host isn't advertising. Putting all those flashy banners, adsense and crap is advertising.
