Default Starting a Free web hosting buisness
Hello,

I've been pondering the idea of starting up a free web hosting buisness, as seeing you guys do and make a profit of some sort. Ive kind of got a plan as what to do...at least i think. Purchase a reseller package, create the website, advertise the free hosting wherever i can (word of mouth as well), put 1 google adsense banner on each page (if they go for a lower featured account maybe only 1 banner on their home (good idea?), manually look over the requests for the hosting - and if they sound legit host em. I would plan on branching this off my current domain (www.excelitetech.com) as a subodmain (hosting.excelitetech.com). With the host im thinking of going with (if you would like to know which host, ask) i questioned them about potential spammers, they said they would disable their account and inform me about it and what i want to do, they said if it continues they will contact me with concerns about if i should continue. How do you guys handle spammers (ill be offering 1 email per account - good idea maybe? ) Also i will get a small team of assistants to look over accountees files making sure theres nothing illegal. Just to let you know, im not old enough to register a google adsense account myself, so im going to have to do that with someone who can (problem?).

Through all this, i hope to achieve 1.) Peoples satisfaction 2.)Enough profit to cover the hosting cost, a few upgrades, and some spare change.

What are your opinions here, and what do you think i should do?

(P.S. Lifeless host, it seems you make out VERY well how you have the forum thing set up.)

Stevo

That sounds pretty good...infact, it's what I'm doing now and I'm making a pretty good profit considering how much I'm paying. I'm planning on getting a dedicated server, so I could offer you a reseller plan.

Heres the plan im looking at www.resellerzoom.com (the middle package). Seems fairly well, though i was concerned about the low price. Their main site www.hostingzoom.com has reseller packages that cost more, because they offer live chat and phone support. (though i was told if i have any problems i can also ask their live chat). Both at 5pm and at 3am i got a reply within 1 hour from tech support ticket (testing it). Alot of reviews ive seen on WHT say they've been good so far. What are the details klarth?

The only thing holding me back from doing this is social security number for Adsense *blah*

Anyone comment on my posts? Suggestions?

Well, honestly I'm not sure I can compete with that middle plan...but if you would care to contact me to set up your own specs that'd be nice

I have an account with hostingzoom and I must say that you CANNOT go wrong with these guys. I have had to call them on serveral occasions and used their live tech support a few times. Everytime ive contacted them ive gotten an answer that solved my problem, and they are very friendly.
I recommend you search no further, just go with hostingzoom, you will be very happy with what you receive, no tonly in the plan, but with the supprt.
2 thumbs up for hostingzoom!

Can someone tell me what information google adsense needs for the tax things, and how do they charge you?

With Google Adsense they ask for your social security number for (id confirmation, i think) and as far as charging, you dont get charged for Adsense. but if you use Google Adwords, then they charge you for everytime someone clciks on one of your ads.

If you are a registered business, just enter your information. I think the options there are pretty clear.
