Default How is xPanel
Hi,

Well I have toyed with the idea of starting a free hosting company for a while and have now been inspired by this forum!I am just wondering if any one has any feedback on this control Panel. I like the features and the ability to add header and footer banners (with google ads and banners is what im planning) and the signup form seems pretty solid. Any feedback would be great.

Thanks
Jeff

it looks really great, and its only like $45 US. However, I believe it is against Google TOS to put AdSense on other peoples websites with an automated system, such as using .htaccess to put it in the headers.

Xpanel works perfectly.. it is a bit hard to setup though.. The cost is 45.00 and Lillian will install it for you for 20.00.. You will need a dedicated server or VP with root access.

you can get rid of the good ads and put up whatever advertising that you want too..

Only thing I dont like about it is that it is totally seperate to cPanel. I would have preferred to offer cPanel accounts as they are more feature rich, so I am not going with xPanel anymore

In the beginning that what I wanted to but its just not worth the risk. xPanel seems to be much more secure and even then ive had some one get past it and install a game server. If you have the staff to manage 1000+ members then cpanel would be ok but for me xPanel is the way to go

xPanel.com seems to be a standard in the industry. From what I understand it was designed with free webhosting in mind so it suits the purpose perfectly though the install instructions could use improvement as far as I've heard.

Seems like a good buy for the money.

Trust me.. xpanel puts cpanel to shame on hosting free accounts.. I have tried to use various scripts that people have written for cpanel as well as using cpanel and adding manually..

stick with xpanel.. much less mat and much easier over all.. I am sure that xpanel will offer more features later and free updates..

yep xpanel rocks so far. Could be a bit more flexable but the creator is pretty good with supporting it and always open to suggestions.

I can't attest to how good it is or not, but I was interested in it a few months ago and I got a prompt reply to some of my questions. I might try it out one day for the price you can't even really consider it a risk. Look's like a great deal. Does anyone know of any host using xpanel?
