I think having a avatar shows the posters personality in a way and it also shows them how 1337 they are

Yes that would be to big the limit is 75 x 75.

I would have prefered an avatar size like the Premium Member bar in WHT, like a rectangle. Square avatars are ugly, and the rectangle would be used by most for their company logos, so the forum would stay more professional

Wouldn't make any difference as advertising isn't aloud in the avatars
